Niki Bahara

Niki Bahara ~ Poet and author of 'Unpaved Road'Niki Bahara is an Iranian-American woman, married with one daughter. After acquiring her BS in Finance from university in Tehran, she worked for two years in Iran until she was forced to flee the Islamic Regime when she was only 23.

Since her early teenage years, Niki had a strong interest in reading books, writing novels, and composing poetry. Her passion for factual novels and literature based on true life stories inspired her to write her own life story. She recently found the perfect timing to realize her lifelong dream and put her unique story, Unpaved Road, in writing. Niki currently lives in Los Angeles with her husband.

Parvaneh Bahar

Parvaneh Bahar - author and writerParvaneh Bahar was born in Tehran, Iran and came to the US in 1953. She has a B.A. in English Literature from American University and an M.S. from Catholic University of America in Washington DC. She worked for 29 years as Research Librarian for the World Bank and IMF Library and has written two books in Persian - Morgh Sahar: Khaterat Parvaneh Bahar (Memoir of Parvaneh Bahar) and Abeh Portaghal (Orange Juice).

Parvaneh's third book, The Poet's Daughter: Malek o'Shoara Bahar of Iran and the Immortal Song of Freedom is in English and will be published in September 2011. It is available from Amazon or directly from the publisher, Larson Publications
